Job Description

Immigration Specialist

Immigration Specialist
o Assist the Immigration Manager in developing an industry best immigration function. Support the Immigration Manager in building an efficient work flow and design, including approvals, LCA and PERM postings.
o Participate with Immigration Manager in member manager education meetings.
o Participate in non-immigrant member education on processes and org policies.
o Act as the primary liaison to foreign national employees and their managers.
o Actively work with outside counsel and the immigration manager on all nonimmigrant visa and permanent residence cases.
o Respond to non-immigrant member questions or concerns in a timely fashion, and escalate to immigration manager and outside counsel as needed.
o Forecast and budget visa renewal and green card cases and finalize with Manager, Immigration Services.
o Receive, review for accuracy and reconcile invoice from outside counsel.
o Liaise between outside counsel and member manager on PERM cases, to develop job description and actual minimum requirements.
o Manage the labor pool testing process to include job notice posting, external posting, resume review/assessment, advertisement tracking, etc. Work closely with recruiting operations to build more effective resume tracking, document storage/filing, and notice posting in support of PERM function. Work directly with external advertising agency and publications to support/track appropriate posting and timing.

o Work with HR Operations/Administration on the I-9 collection process to ensure compliance with all laws/regulations. Conduct or assist in conducting audits of completed I-9s; extensive quarterly process reviews. Ensure I-9 collection is well designed, to incorporate E-Verify as needed, and individuals are training regularly. Assist with E-Verify Tentative Non-confirmations.

Requirements: 3+ years in HR immigration or immigration legal assistant
