University of Maryland Medical CenterCorporate Contracts Administrator - General Purchasing & Information Technology ContractingPosition SummaryThis position is a corporate position reporting directly to the Corporate Contract Manager. Responsible for planning, developing, negotiating and management of all corporate supplier/vendor related contracts. Also, responsible for monitoring contract compliance: pricing, utilization trends and maintaining the data integrity of contact information in corporate procurement's databases. Directly supervises and assigns tasks to buyers and assistant buyers in the completion of purchase requests. Provides management reports and analysis of the information processed through the procurement system. Qualifications:- Baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university in a Business Administration or related discipline is required. - Significant experience sufficient to develop equivalent business knowledge and skills may be considered in lieu of this requirement.- A minimum of five years of experience in a progressively responsible professional purchasing and/or contracting environment, with direct experience that relates to Information Technology contracting.- Demonstrated ability to work with professional, multi-disciplinary teams as a group leader as well as a participant.- Highly effective supervisory skills necessary to train, motivate and monitor a staff working on complex issues.- Demonstrated experience in complex Information Technology contract negotiations.- Strong verbal and written communication skills.- Must be able to concentrate mentally/visually over long time periods.CB
