Job Description 

Wells Fargo Home Mortgage is looking for team players who are looking for a career-growth opportunity with an industry leader. Our external/outside residential mortgage loan officers are in a commission-driven environment as outside sales reps.

We are seeking experienced retail residential mortgage loan officers who have established local business and local referral partnerships to solicit residential mortgages from various sources. Strong sales and organizational skills are essential.

For consideration, applicants must have outside mortgage origination experience and established referral partners in the market in which they are applying. Bi-lingual applicants are encouraged to apply. Please note that this is a 100% commissioned sales position. 


Job Requirements 

* Minimum Qualifications:
Job experience:
2+ years of external/outside retail mortgage origination experience with an emphasis self sourced business
Proven retail mortgage lending sales experience with the ability to meet documented production standards of $12 million or 60 funded units in the past 12 months
Established and documented referral partner relationships in the market in which they are applying (e.g., realtors, builders, attorneys, financial advisors or CPAs)
Proven ability to self-source leads and to create profitable business relationships with referral partners
Excellent customer service skills with the availability to assist customers on evenings and weekends
Willingness to work in a fully commissioned, outside sales environment
Skills/competencies:
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills with the ability to explain programs, loan terms, features, policies and benefits to customers and business partners
Demonstrated PC skills including Microsoft Office Suite and the ability to use database marketing
Demonstrated customer service skills
Demonstrated knowledge of the mortgage industry and loan structuring
Physical requirements:
Ability to move 15+ pounds
Ability operate moving vehicle or have access to transportation
Ability to stand/sit/walk for 6-8 hours a day
Education:
High School Education or equivalent
