Description Branch Manager

Primary Duties:

• Directs operations and sales of the branch including loans, financial services, ATM’s, Investments, and Teller services.
Achieves, and helps staff to achieve individual, branch, and credit union goals.
• Ensures security and maintenance of branch assets including property, equipment, records, cash, and negotiable instruments and maintains accurate records.
• Creates and revises job descriptions for positions within the department.
• Assigns work and reviews, observes and/or audits work as necessary to assess department and employee performance.
• Coaches employees on a regular basis to ensure they clearly understand the performance standards for their positions.
• Performs duties of a Loan Officer, Financial Service Advisor, and Teller as required.
• Creates and maintains friendly environment; promotes positive morale, and ensures prompt, courteous, and efficient service to members.
• Develops and maintains favorable member, vendor and community relations.

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• High School Diploma, GED or equivalent, supplemented with continuing education.
• Must have demonstrated supervisory experience including: staffing, training, coaching, disciplining, motivating and evaluating staff, and measuring individual and office sales performance.
• Minimum of 3 years work experience in a credit union or bank.
• Thorough knowledge of the fundamentals of the financial industry including an understanding of the Federal Reserve System, the check clearing process, and the legal theory of negotiable instruments.
• Thorough knowledge of federal and state laws and regulations relating to the financial industry.
• Ability to collect, organize, and analyze information, and prepare management reports and recommendations.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, desktop publishing, MoE, and graphics software programs.
