Job Description
Director of Financial Reporting
THE COMPANY:
Our client is a publicly traded billion government contractor headquartered in Northern Virginia. They have grown significantly over the past few years due primarily to mergers and acquisitions.
THE CULTURE:
Though the company is large, the organizational structure is “flat” and interactions with senior/executive management are common. They hire only the best and brightest within their industry. The department is close-knit and the team has a lot of chemistry.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
As the Director of Financial Reporting, you will supervise one manager. Your primary responsibilities are preparing 10-K/10-Q reports along with the related MDAA. The ability to research emerging audit issues and put together white papers on accounting positions is also important.
In addition, you will be responsible for performing monthly revenue fluctuation analysis and detailed review on contracts. They have some multi-element contract arrangements, but most of the contracts fall into the time and materials and cost-plus category.
This is a highly visible position within the organization and you will have regular interactions with the CFO and other Executive team members.
ATTRIBUTES/REQUIREMENTS INCLUDE:
Minimum of 7 years experience, ideally 10-12.
CPA is required, MBA is preferred
Relevant SEC reporting and management experience
Ideal candidate will have big four as well as operation accounting experience
COMPENSATION PACKAGE:
Salary Range $110-120k, with great benefits
