Current Need
Demand Planner will be responsible for working with customers, internal organizations and forecasting software to develop a demand plan for the use of materials management in the procurement of inventory. Responsible for implementing and maintaining policies and procedures for the effective planning of demand. Develops necessary reporting for materials management group, customers and executive management. May assist with development and maintenance of the inventory management systems and procedures.
Position Description
Responsible for planning and implementing activities related to the product or material purchase, inventory control, and shipping/receiving and storage functions. Develops, implements and maintains policies, procedures and inventory control systems. Ensures products and materials are ordered and in stock to meet company requirements, while maintaining acceptable inventory levels. Develops product and material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of inventory with purchasing operations, production and engineering. Reviews and plans requirements for purchasing. May prepare product and material requirement plans on an automated computer system. May assist with the establishment and maintenance of the production control system.

Qualifications
Additional Knowledge & Skills
Access proficiency at an intermediate level required. Must have strong analysis skills. Must be able to build and maintain relationships with customers. Must be able to prepare reports for management and make presentations.
Minimum Requirements
3+ years inventory experience to include 2+ years demand planning experience. Advanced proficiency with Excel. Demand planning software experience required. Demand Solutions software proficiency preferred.
Education
4-year degree in business or related field or equivalent experience
