Providence Little Company of Mary Medical Center � Torrance has served the South
Bay communities for more than 40 years and today boasts a reputation for
clinical excellence and as a highly regarded emergency heart care designation.
The 310-bed hospital is known for specialties including cardiovascular services,
women�s and children�s health, oncology, home health and is at the forefront of
minimally-invasive robotics technology for cardiac, gynecologic and urologic
procedures.
The Women�s Health Department offers a continuum of services for the child
bearing family featuring a full range of educational classes, fetal diagnostic
testing and genetic counseling services, an inpatient family centered
obstetrical unit, a Mother-Baby Home follow up program for eligible families.
The Women�s Health Department recognizes that services are best performed
through inter-disciplinary collaboration with active family participation. The
unit has 22 LDRP Rooms, deliver approximately 3000 babies a year and also attend
to high-risk antepartum Moms.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
1) California licensed RN.
2) Minimum 1-year of experience in a Labor & Delivery role.
3) Requires NRP, BCLS and ACLS sponsored by the American Heart Association.
4) Demonstrates clinical competency in the care of the Perinatal patient;
antepartum, post-partum, Newborn care and OB recovery.
5) Performs labor assessments and fetal heart rate monitoring and performs
immediate resuscitation/stabilization of the neonate as well as competency in
newborn assessment.
6) Demonstrates skills in the post-operative recovery of the cesarean delivery.
