    Job Description

    Under the direction of the Physician, Clinic Operations Manager and/or supervising RN, the Medical Assistant is responsible for assisting with clinical and administrative functions. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, monitoring patient flow, returning phone messages, rooming patients, obtaining patient histories and vital signs, assisting with patient education, administering medications, assisting with procedures, maintaining medical records, stocking rooms, and responding to medical emergencies.

    Qualifications
    • Completion of Medical Assistance Program
    • Maintain Medical Assistant Certification / Registration
    • Medical Assistant Certification / Registration must be obtained within one year or three testing periods from the date of hire.
    • Maintain CPR certification
    • One year related experience highly desirable
    • Demonstrate high degree of professionalism and service excellence
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to gather clinical data
    • Ability to instruct patients
    • Ability to provide emotional support with compassion and respect for the individual
    • Ability to work as a member of the care team
    • Ability to maintain confidentiality of medical records
    • Ability to prioritize tasks
    • Knowledge of infection control
    • Basic Computer Skills
    • Maintain proficiency in UW Healthlink


    Schedule

    This is a 40 hour per pay period position. Hours are:
    Week 1: Tuesday 5:00 - close, Thursday 5:00 - close, Friday 5:00 - close.
    Week 2: Tuesday 4:30- close, Thursday 5:00 - close, Friday 5:00 - close
    Every other weekend (Saturday and Sunday) 2:00 - 7:00
