The following requirements are a MUST to be considered for this contract position: Accountabilities: ' Perform product performance biomechanics research aimed at increasing understanding of customer needs and activity requirements to develop technologically innovative Footwear, Apparel and Equipment products that are globally relevant. Be a full time member of Footwear/Apparel/Equipment Product Creation Process. Interact with Sr. Researcher and Product Analysts in all phases or research to provide holistic evaluation of products. ' Participate to development of new tools, methods and procedures, hardware and software, streamline data acquisition, process and analysis to improve research efficiency. ' Become the resident expert for one of the research tools used by the NSRL staff. Provide training for colleagues and liaison with supplier of chosen research tool. Be responsible for equipment maintenance and supplies. ' Support Corporate Communication by giving lab tours. Demonstrate NIKE commitment to product performance research through presentations at scientific meetings, clinics and conferences and publication in scientific journals. Contribute manuscripts to the Sport Research and Medical Field. Competencies: ' Biomechanical KNOWLEDGE of biomechanical and ergonomics principles, experimental design and statistical procedures. Knowledge of musculo-skeletal anatomy is a plus. ' TEAM MEMBERSHIP ' Belong and support Footwear/Apparel/Equipment Product Creation team. Assume responsibility for all Footwear/Apparel/Equipment related learning. ' COMMUNICATION ' Ability to communicate with all members of Footwear/Apparel/Equipment Product Creation team. Ability to network with other member of R&D. Communicate clearly results of research to design and development teams. ' TECHNICAL KNOWLEDGE- Familiarity with all equipment, tools and software used for NSRL biomechanical research. Expert with one or more tools. Be on the lookout four new technologies. ' INNOVATION- Strive to improve NSRL biomechanical research process including data acquisition, process, analysis and dissemination of information to reduce research time lines. ' RESULTS ORIENTATION ' Keep the research objective in mind, focus on mian goal not detrails. Favor this approach to streamline research process. ' TIME MANAGEMENT ' Balance time equitably between research projects. Work closely with Sr. Researches to insure deadlines are met. Research Tools: Force platforms, Motion Analysis Systems, Pressure Sensors, Accelerometers and other Analog Measuring Devices.
