External Responsibilities:

Dr Pepper Snapple Group
Production Management Trainee Program

The Dr Pepper Snapple Group (DPSG) Supply Chain Management Trainee Program is for recent college or technical school graduates who, with proper exposure, mentoring and career development, will become our Plant Managers of tomorrow at one of our 24 beverages manufacturing plants. The Program's purpose is to build upon the talent in the Supply Chain organization by aggressively coaching and developing the selected candidates to prepare them for future Supply Chain leadership roles.
Management trainees receive cross-functional, departmental training during their 24-36 month training period with heavy doses in Maintenance, Production, Quality, Production Planning, and Safety. Trainees will be assigned to a DPSG mentor for career and personal guidance. The training itself is tailored to the individual and monitored by the sponsoring manufacturing plant and Human Resources department.
The Supply Chain organization is sponsoring the Production Management Trainee Program. Candidates will be exposed to high concentrations of hands-on learning in the following areas:

  • Production
  • Maintenance
  • Production Planning
  • Quality
  • Safety
Selected candidates begin the Program by attending a corporate orientation to learn about the business, policies, and practices. After orientation, the selected candidates will start an aggressive 24-36 month rotational program as a supervisor developing an understanding for all aspects of beverages manufacturing.  Throughout the training program, the company will assess individual performance in the areas of manufacturing aptitude and proficiency, leadership, and team development in order to determine future department manager assignments.

Successful candidates must be willing to relocate to any of our 24 manufacturing sites within the United States during or at the completion of the program.  Relocation assistance would be provided at that time.

External Requirements:

Candidates for the Program must be team players who value diversity and who drive for results. They must also have:

  • A good scholastic record (GPA 3.0 and above) as a graduate of an accredited university or technical school in a related field of study
  • A history of leadership roles in school, the military, the community, or prior work experience
  • Ability to analyze and solve technical problems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A desire to be mobile. While only local candidates will be considered, they must be able to relocate to any of our 24 manufacturing sites within the United States during or at the end of the training program.  Relocation assistance would be provided at that time.
