The Senior Systems QC Inspector position is office-based and assists the Project Engineer with all aspects of design/build project office responsibilities. The Senior Systems QC Inspector is responsible for tracking design/build documentation, plan submittals, quality control and quality assurance material testing.

Duties and responsibilities of a Senior Systems QC Inspector include the following:
• Be responsible for daily inspection efforts on complex and/or diverse projects that require construction experience in a given discipline or trade.
• Be proficient at reading and interpreting plans, specifications, and shop drawings.
• Perform field inspection of contractor's operations to see that they comply with contract documents.
• Prepare daily and weekly reports on work accomplished by contractor and review periodical pay estimates for accuracy with contractor.
• Prepare sketches and assemble data for Field Engineer's use in making changes to the project.
• Assure contractor performs according to plans and specifications.
• Keep diaries and make reports on work accomplished.
• Responsible for daily inspection efforts.
• Perform sophisticated, complicated mathematical calculations.
• Possesses highest level of technical expertise; capable of addressing the most difficult and novel issues/problems.

Requirements Minimum of 10 years experience required on public works construction projects. The candidate must have extensive experience in OCS/Traction Power systems for light rail transit and at least two years experience as an office-based inspection lead. Strong computer skills including; proficiency in Word; capable of being trained to use Site Manager, and being capable of scanning documents. Exceptional communication skills: both verbal and written. Must have a valid driver’s license and must be willing and able to travel between offices and job sites as required.
