Performance Engineer Job

Well established power generation company is seeking a Performance Testing Engineer with fossil power generation exp for a direct hire position near Dallas, TX. Position will require 50% travel within the state of Texas to support plant assets.

Responsibilities

  • Candidate will provide performance testing expertise to support the fossil generation fleet throughout Texas (~50% travel)
  • Must have exp and knowledge of power plant performance testing and tuning services including testing, monitoring, diagnostics and troubleshooting of power plant systems
  • Performance Testing Services include but are not limited to the following tests: boiler efficiency, boiler air ingress, air pre-heater, feedwater heater, precip & bag house, fan, condenser, turbine and heat rate performance
  • Provide testing support in conjunction with plant start-up, commissioning, and equipment performance guarantees
  • Operate, maintain and troubleshoot I&C and mobile test laboratories used for conducting performance tests
  • Provide extensive electronic reporting to analyze plant equipment operating trends, historical data, and field data to develop recommended actions to improve performance

Requirements

  • Bachelor�s degree in engineering or equiv exp in related field with steam plant boilers, turbines and BOP equipment performance testing
  • Candidate must have a functional technical knowledge and a familiarity with performance testing codes and standards
  • Candidate must have a comprehensive knowledge of power generation equipment, operation, maintenance, and troubleshooting
