Under minimal supervision conducts and directs major engineering projects for the implementation of new platforms or product enhancements, including development of systems solutions in fluid processing applications. These systems will primarily be related to technologies surrounding (RO, UF,MBR, and the pretreatment and post treatment technologies that are related, etc.) and related applications (water, water reuse, product recovery & wastewater). Provides technical in addition to administrative leadership to other engineering personnel in order achieve goals. Duties and functions: - Will be expected to generate entire product/ system designs or redesigns of existing equipment.
- Proficient in qualification and investigative test experiment design and reporting.
- Generates engineering and economic analysis relating to the project. Must be able to generate reports on findings relating to the particular analysis.
- Provides technical support for marketing and sales. Participates in strategic planning of the market focus teams. Responsible for the implementation of products, major product enhancements and market focus programs.
- Must be able to conduct all necessary related project work such as project meetings, scheduling and status reporting.
- May direct or be able to execute the generation of all related engineering documentation such as drawings, ECOs and lab requests and reports.
- Assists in the hiring and training of new engineering personnel.
- Assists in the directing and organizing of work for drafters and associate engineers.
- Provides technical support and direction to other engineering members towards the successful completion of their jobs/tasks.
- Represents the company in international business objectives including sales, product sourcing and private labeling.
Knowledge, Skills and requirements - BS degree in engineering and 8 to 15 years related experience.
- Knowledge of water and waste water treatment at the industrial level and technologies surrounding (RO, UF, MBR, etc.) and applications (water, water recovery and recycling & wastewater) and the ability to design systems using these technologies
- Must be proficient at oral and written communication skills. Familiarity with the following items: 3D and 2D CAD systems. Must be able to use Msoffice tools such as Word, and Excel. Must be able to utilize modern project management techniques. Demonstrates team-building skills among engineering personnel.
- Capable of working as part of an international team in developing solutions and designing complete systems
- Travel will be required and some longer term international trips will potentially be required.
