Account Manager
Employee Classification: Non-Exempt, Hourly
Reports To: Account Manager Supervisor
Reporting Personnel: None
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Servicing the Agency’s current customers and assisting in increasing the Agency’s current book of business. Communicating with company underwriters and knowing their current underwriting guidelines. Additional specific responsibilities can be found in the Agency’s Responsibility document.
FUNCTION:
An account manager is to provide courteous and professional customer service to the Agency’s customers and prospects. This includes providing them with the information they need to make an informed decision. Maintain and update customer and company files in the agency management system.
SPECIFIC DUTIES:
• Promote additional business for producer from client base
• Acquire all account information necessary for quotes and
applications
• Respond to all client inquiries
• Give coverage explanations to clients
• Process coverage changes
• Maintain client information and policy files
• Complete vehicle picture inspections (Personal Lines only)
• Work closely with company underwriters
• Process daily mail
• Process renewals, new business, applications, finance agreements,
endorsements and issue ID cards the same day as applicable
• Post transactions to client account files
• Research and handle any billing, premium or coverage discrepancies
SECONDARY DUTIES:
• Backup receptionist as necessary
• Special projects as assigned by Management
