Responsible for dining room functions of a Panda Inn restaurant including service and bar management. Acts as manager in charge when the General Manager is not present. Supervise the front hourly employees to ensure guest satisfaction is provided.  


General Business

*         Responsible for the service and bar management within the restaurant and supervise the front hourly employees.

*         Handle customer requests and problems; ensure timely presentation of dishes to customer; take catering and party orders; perform opening and closing routines.

*         Back up attending bars and prepare a full range of mixed and well drinks with correct garnishes.

*         Assist General Manager to prepare dining room employees' weekly schedules.

*         Communicates regularly with General Manager regarding restaurant needs, problems and opportunities.

 

Human Resources

*         Assist General Manager to recruit, interview and select high qualified candidates.

*         Coach and correct employee's performance; administer disciplinary actions and warnings; inform General Manager of all action taken; provide detailed input and observations to General Manager when requested for performance appraisal and other personnel actions.

*         Processes Human Resources related PAWS data entry and paperwork delegated by the General Manager.

 

Safety & Sanitation

*         Trains and coaches employees regarding safety and sanitation rules and regulations.

*         Ensure on-site employees and customers' safety.

*         Ensure QSC standards are implemented in the dining room and bar areas.

*         Reports and follows up on work related injuries, offers employees clinical help when needed.

 

Risk Management

*         Familiarizes with guest incident reporting procedures.

  

Financial/Accounting

*         Understand cash, assets and overall P & L performance report for the restaurant.

*         Close-out and balance cash register; prepare daily sales report.

*         Ensures timely process of invoices and submit to Accounts Payable with purchase recap.

*         Audits time attendance reports for Payroll and ensure signatures from employees on the time cards.

 

Marketing

*         Ensures the proper execution of company merchandising and promotion programs.

*         Implements appropriate merchandising and promotion programs.

 
Job Requirements
