We are currently seeking a
Senior Financial Analyst to assemble financial data, perform financial analysis, and provide sufficient periodic financial information and solutions to support the U.S./Canadian Region business planning and decision making processes that ensure profitability and sustainability of the U.S./Canadian Region business.
Key Result Areas:
Profit Planning/Latest Estimates Process -To assemble, analyze, and organize financial data to support Profit Plan and Latest Estimates for Food sales, Industrial sales, and Supply Chain. Provide assistance as required with the forecasting process to ensure accurate and reliable forecasts are used by U.S./Canadian Region Management and Corporate Headquarters.
Financial Reporting - To analyze and evaluate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial results for Food, Industrial and Supply Chain. Assist in identifying opportunities and risks associated with such results and compare results to relative benchmarks (i.e. goal or latest estimates).
Business Support - To track business results and identify cost saving or revenue enhancement opportunities. Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual results vs. appropriate benchmarks, keep appraised of developments in this business area, make value-added recommendations, and prepare ad hoc analyses as requested in order to facilitate the formation of sound business plans and strategies.
Special Projects - To work on special projects focused on financial analysis, financial forecasting, or financial reporting as required.
Selection Criteria:
1.) Strong written, verbal communication and presentation skills. Must be able to convey information to all levels of the organization in a clear, focused, and concise manner.
2.) Demonstrated experience working as part of a team with the potential to lead a team.
3.) Experience in planning, coordinating, and executing multiple projects simultaneously.
4.) Must have a working knowledge of balance sheet, income sheet, cash flow, and working capital analysis.
5.) Must be able to analyze financial results and assess financial/strategic impacts of business decisions. Demonstrated ability to think strategically in terms of total business process.
6.) Strong knowledge and demonstrated experience with Microsoft Excel. SAP and Hyperion knowledge is desirable.
7.) Knowledge of Food Ingredients or Corn Wet Milling industry (competition, business climate, manufacturing processes), a plus.
8.) Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business or Accounting, plus at a CPA designation
