Job Description
Oversee the activities of all SMI staff, including the Care Coordinators and Case Managers for the Oahu operations. Included are all case management and direct services activities, oversight and quality assurance responsibility of all contracted providers, and supervision of SMI staff. This position works under the clinical leadership of the SMI medical director(s) and clinical program manager.

1. Provides supervisory oversight of the program staff, including case management personnel. Provides clinical consultation and training as needed, and involves the Consulting Medical Director and Medical Director when necessary. (25%)

2. Assures that all case management, utilization processes and operations comply with regulatory requirements. (25%)

3. Responsible for coordination of service delivery by product and staff including assistance with utilization review, case management, and on call as needed to maintain a smooth workflow within the department. (20%)

4. Works with Quality Improvement Manager to ensure the department meets regulatory and accreditation requirements. (15%)

Minimum qualifications:

� Current Hawaii Licensed Social Worker (LSW) (or eligible for licensure); or Master of Science in Nursing (MSN); or APRN in a non-behavioral health field; or
� Hawaii Licensed Registered Nurse (or eligible for licensure) with two (2) years of clinical practice experience, preferably in the behavioral health field.
� Qualified by the State of Hawaii as a Mental Health Professional (MHP)
� Master's degree from accredited school in behavioral health field
a) Counseling, or
b) Human Development, or
c) Marriage, or
d) Psychology, or
e) Psychosocial Rehabilitation, or
f) Criminal Justice.

� Hawaii licensure (or license eligible) required
� Minimum of two (2) years experience in direct inpatient and outpatient mental health clinical care preferably in behavioral health field.
� Minimum of two (2) years utilization management and case management experience with quality improvement experience
� Minimum of two (2) years experience in leadership role, including experience in supervising, training and evaluating clinical staff
� Prior Program development, monitoring and evaluation experience are highly preferred
� Knowledge of appropriate regulatory and accreditation requirements.
� Knowledge of various public and private services available for the mentally ill and the substance abuser.
� Knowledgeable in case management software systems and Microsoft Office suite of application is desirable.
