Controls Engineer Job

Client located in Orlando, FL working in the power generation industry is actively looking for an experienced Controls Engineer to assist with installation projects.

Responsibilities

  • Will do controls system design, specification, programming, simulation and testing, and start-up assistance
  • Will be the project technical lead and may be responsible for some project management activities
  • Panel design and layout, bill of materials, and wiring schematics

Requirements

  • BS degree in Electrical, Mechanical or Computer Engineering
  • 5 years of experience as a Controls Engineer in Power Generation, Petrochemical, Pharmaceutical or related process industry
  • Proven experience in PLC logic and programming Allen Bradley PLC's using both 500 and 5000 programming tools
  • Experience with HMI programming using Allen Bradley RS View
  • Experience reading and red-lining P&ID drawings
  • Experience with other operator interface software packages such as Wonderware, Intellution, GE Cimplicity, etc. will be considered a plus
  • Experience with other PLCs will be considered a plus: Modicon, GE Fanuc, Siemens
