Job Description
Ajilon Engineering is currently seeking an Environmental Professional with Water Treatment experience in a manufacturing setting for their Charlotte, NC based client.
Summary:
The Waste Treat & Environmental Coordinator is responsible for carrying out waste treat and environmental process and program tasks under the direction of the Sr. EHS Leader.
This position is centered on the Wastewater Treatment Department and is also responsible for the environmental compliance of the facility.
Candidates must have hands on experience with waste water treatment in a metals manufacturing facility, as well as supervisory experience.
This candidate will be identifying and sampling waste from other companies to determine if facility can treat them locally.
Candidates will then assist in quoting the business to that company and managing the incoming wastewater as well as the operations of the department.
Candidates will be responsible for all environment compliance and reporting for the facilities Wastewater Department.
Education:
This position requires that the employee have a H. S. Diploma or G.E.D. equivalent and knowledge in environmental waste and safety systems in a manufacturing environment and hazard materials control.
It is preferred the candidate have a Technical Certification or Associates Degree related to safety or environmental control technology.
The candidate should have between 5-7 years experience running waste water treatment operations, half of which in a supervisory, leadership role. In addition the candidate should have direction, hands on experience with environmental controls methods, for air, waste water and storm water.
Experience and Skills Required:
Experience in a manufacturing setting is required for this position.
Must have the ability to communicate both verbally and in writing.
Must be able to read and comprehend general business periodicals, technical manuals, and government documents. Must have ability to solve practical problems.
Must have general knowledge of computer applications including Word, Excel, and other Microsoft Office programs.
