Transportation Sales Executive- Dallas, TX    

job description

The Truckload Sales Executive is responsible for developing new and maintaining existing business relationships with customers and prospects by exploring opportunities within the Dallas, TX area. A key individual who strives to increase revenues and maximize profitability.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities: 


  • Prospects and sources new opportunities within the market, as well increased organic growth 
  • Commitment to high level of Customer Service, always showing a sense of urgency 
  • Develops proposals and builds solutions for clients 
  • Provides updated and accurate pipeline and customer contact information 
  • Utilize Marketing department to enhance sales presentations 
  • Develop and implement strategic plans for targeted market penetration
  • Communicates issues and concerns with operations, pricing, accounting and customer service to NFI Management team throughout the sales cycle process and customer service follow-up after the sale 
  • Responsible for creating and delivering high quality presentations to the customer 
  • Partners with peers and management to enhance selling techniques

Qualifications 


  • Able to bring book of business in the market 

  • Desire to succeed in quota driven sales environment 

  • Work independently and possess strong work ethic 

  • Ability and availability to work flexible hours 

  • Ability and availability to travel as business needs indicate

Job Requirements 


  • Minimum 5 years sales experience within the TRANSPORTATION INDUSTRY. 

  • Truckload/OTR sales experience required 

  • Strong knowledge base of the industry and marketplace 

  • Strong customer service skills 

  • Quantifiable sales success 

  • Excellent communicator who is able to articulate the value proposition of the company 

  • Developed and honed persuasive presentation skills 

  • Proven experience in prospecting and developing new business 

  • Strong marketing background and capability 

  • Excellent analytical skills- assess, design and sell a given solution?

  • Familiarity with PC (Microsoft applications)
