Senior Portfolio Credit Analyst
Job Description
Perform business analysis functions on various credit risk business initiatives to mitigate portfolio risk and also improve credit operations. Design/ implement Credit Risk and Operational Risk Standards, procedures/processes, and Control functions to fulfill E*TRADE and Basel II Control requirements. Ensure that Credit Policy and Credit Committee mandates are fulfilled and enhance committee processes and controls. Establish and maintain document library of Controls and document control testing. Develop processes to ensure that Controls are updated to reflect process changes and new regulatory requirements Provide independent review or quality control of processes to ensure adherence to Credit Policies, Standards and Controls. Provide feedback to senior management on integrity of credit risk management practices. Perform operating risk analysis and collaborate with operational areas to mitigate the risk. Collaborate with peer groups and/or service providers/vendors to effectively plan, communicate, organize and execute business objectives.
Job Requirements
Minimum Professional and Technical Skills:
Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management, MIS or related field or equivalent experience. Masters preferred. 4-6 years progressive process, operations or credit management experience in the financial services industry; Good project management, planning, organizational and follow up skills; Ability to multi-task and maintain composure; strong sense of urgency with the ability to execute quickly, timely and efficiently. 1-3 years loan industry experience, especially in mortgages and/or home equity. 2-3 years experience in business analysis Good knowledge of financial services operations, information delivery, change management, and action planning. Demonstrated collaborative partnership skills with internal and external teams Good customer service orientation, business communication, collaboration, interpersonal skills and team orientation. Good business acumen and good conceptual, analytical and business judgment. Minimum Education, Certification, Training: Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, MIS or related field or equivalent experience; Masters preferred
