Job Description

Measurement Technician performs installation, maintenance, repair and calibration tasks on Company's gas measurement and control equipment including but not limited to natural gas metering, communications, control, monitoring and SCADA equipment. Works closely with and supports Engineering and Contract Personnel to ensure new facilities are constructed and modifications to existing facilities are installed and completed as designed. Position supports verification of programming and configuration of Measurement Remote Terminal Units, electronic metering stations, and various PLC and Pneumatic Control systems. Position performs accuracy tests and field calibrations on gas measurement equipment ensuring adherence to Company policies and procedures. Works closely with and monitors the work performed by electrical and measurement contractors. Maintains inventory of measurement supplies and equipment.

Conditions:
Subject to callout
Overtime required as necessary to complete tasks
Normal work schedule is 10 days on/4 days off
Exposure to outside environment


Technical ability
Computer skills
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work independently


Job Requirements

Education and Experience:
  • 2 year technically related degree or equivalent experience
  • 3-5 years of Natural Gas, electrical or I&C related experience
  • Good understanding of electrical and electronic principles
