Description /

Responsible for supporting and coordinating implementation of internal and external communications plans with particular focus on customer, employee and mass media audiences.
Develops primarily written communications.
Develops a variety of communications materials (fact sheets, special notices, press releases) for customers, media and other audiences.
Coordinates and supports crisis and other targeted communications plans.
Coordinates events for internal and external audiences.
Supports development of material for website.
Participates in the execution of communications strategies.
Reviews and evaluates Unit's communications guidelines and recommends alternative approaches.
Requirements Bachelor's degree in Communications or Public Relations or equivalent work experience plus a minimum of 3 years experience in corporate communications and public or media relations. Ability to develop messages and write and present diverse ideas in a logical and concise manner. Ability to operate proficiently a variety of computer software for analysis and presentation purposes. Ability to structure mutually agreeable working arrangements with internal and external contacts. Ability to analyze and develop appropriate responses to customer, employee and media inquiries as an element of communications plan implementation.
