Shift: Monday - Friday, 8am - 5pm
The Director of Human Resources is responsible for partnering with HR and Operations leadership, to plan, design, and execute company wide HR initiatives and programs. The Director provides support to all HR challenges impacting our employees and business. This role may have 1 or more Generalist direct reports.
Principal Responsibilities
■ Ensure that national HR initiatives are implemented locally within their region.
■ Mentor and develop generalists to ensure they proactively understand business drivers (start-up, RIF, transfers, etc)and are implementing sound approach; partner with Account Directors on initiatives impacting employees that cannot be resolved at Generalist level
■ Collaborate with Williams Lea and Client Management on start-ups to articulate our approach to HR, people and development; obtain understanding of client contracts and HR implications
■ Maintain effective business relationships with key client representatives
■ Collaborate with HR colleagues to design and execute programs supporting succession planning, career, competency and performance development; work with operational leaders to drive the talent management process including 360 feedback and individual development planning.
■ Oversee cost containment initiatives managed by the Generalist (Retention, WC, Unemployment)
■ Collaborate with HR leaders to drive organizational design and change management
■ Partner with HR colleagues to design, communicate and implement world class HR systems and programs
■ Partner with line management to ensure Director level and above hires are properly inducted into the organization
Requirements
Experience/Qualifications
■ Bachelor’s Degree required
■ 7-10 years HR generalist experience; served in lead HR role for an operating business unit or function.
■ Proven experience establishing HR infrastructure, policies and procedures
■ Minimum of 5 years project management experience, including effective planning and organizing, time management, and cost control
■ Possesses strong influencing skills; ability to effectively articulate and communicate at all levels.
■ Ability to develop and sustain relationships at all levels
■ Innovative and creative thinker
■ Ability to lead projects and improve processes relating to the delivery of HR services to the business
■ Intermediate knowledge of MS Office applications (Word, PowerPoint and Excel)
