Summary
Works directly with Sales Directors on one or more of the following: develop/partnership proposals for prospective clients, support sales efforts including collateral development, research, and/or meeting preparation and follow-up. Provides strategic support to Sales Directors on phases of the sales cycle including prospect research, preliminary call activities, Request for Proposal (RFP), presentations, prospect visit management, prospect meetings, and/or contracts. Serves as a liaison to develop combined sales strategy with other TSYS departments and/or companies and other partners (vendors) involved in the sales process for individual prospects. Manages all sales documentation and deliverables, ensuring accuracy and availability. Provides updates/reports of prospects to Senior Management.
Responsibilities
Possesses an extensive knowledge of all applications, modules, VAP offerings, and/or systems. Possesses an extensive knowledge of enhancements to existing applications, modules, VAP offereings, and/or systems as well as new product offerings. Updates the Sales team on new functionality offerings. Attends all prospect planning meetings, conference calls, etc. with Sales Director or may conduct planning meetings, conference calls, etc. independent of the Sales Director. Assists Sales Directors in development of visit plans by participating in all calls and communications with prospect with or without the Sales Director. Interacts with clients/prospects. Maintains detailed knowledge of pricing elements along with business deal points and contract negotiation points. May serve as a point of contact for Corporate Legal and Pricing teams. May own certain business aspects of the contract. Handles incoming ‘cold calls’ and screens them for possible sales leads. Provides continuous communication to pertinent staff as to status of prospect/sales process when Sales Director is unavailable. Communicates calendar updates to appropriate parties and prospect updates to Marketing for the Prospect Report. Coordinates and develops meeting plan to include determining agenda, materials, presenters, vendor participation, SMEs, etc. Creates extensive sales presentations, collateral materials, and/or various client communications. Performs quality check on presentation books. Attends and actively participates in meetings/call, including off site visits, with, or as situations dictate, without the Sales Director when needed to provide support in presentations, pricing and contract discussions, etc. Researches and prepares follow-up documentation to prospect. Creates special documentation requests, white papers, product descriptions, etc. based on individual prospect needs. Coordinates complex RFP/RFI and/or other research documentation projects as assigned according to documented procedures. Mentors all Sales Analysts without having direct supervision responsibilities. Works independently with appropriate parties to complete Prospect Profiles to include writing summaries according to Profile outline and methodology. Manages and completes special projects from Executive and Senior Sales Leadership.
Education/Experience
Four year college degree and 8 or more years professional experience or 10 or more years professional experience is required. Appropriate TSYS experience is preferred.
