The Information Technology Strategic Sourcing Team is looking for an IT Vendor Management Analyst Senior. The ideal candidate will be taking a Senior role in the acquisition of hardware, software, professional and network services. Other key responsibilities will include identifying viable solution alternatives through thorough analysis, researching and identifying product sources, as well as negotiating pricing, contractual terms, and conditions.
Guiding Principles for Information Technology Strategic Sourcing:
Understand the business requirements driving each opportunity
Work with project team to identify due diligence requirements with some examples including Cost Benefit Analysis, market review, vendor financial viability analysis, and directional options for Sr. IT Mgmt decision making
Ensure RFP's are prepared as required and are sufficiently complete
Ensure that pricing, contract terms and conditions adequately protect Progressive's current and future interests
Evaluate and make financing recommendations
The ideal candidate for this position will have a proven background delivering and demonstrating the following responsibilities:
Experience in negotiating hardware, software, network services and professional services contracts
A strong working knowledge of information technology principles, goods and services - The ability to communicate effectively within technical, financial, line of business and vendor sales professionals
A Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting or related technical specialty is strongly preferred
Minimum of six (6) years of analytical business experience in support of IT
Minimum of four (4) years experience in negotiating information technology transactions, purchases, vendors, contracts, and services
Strong leadership, project management and presentation skills
Solid grasp of technical skills with demonstrated problem solving, financial and statistical analysis skills
