Current Need


Current Need

The Mobile, Alerts, and Portal Solutions Group (MAPS) has need for a software engineer to work on the Physician Portal application. This engineer will be responsible for participating in the entire software development life cycle. In addition they will work with internal as well as external customers for purposes of support and troubleshooting if required.

Additional Knowledge & Skills

  • Excellent Java & Javascript Development skills

  • Programming experience creating and working in a portal product developing portlets. Experience with Linux, JBOSS, ( or other application servers), JDBC, SQL, Database tools (e.g. TOAD), Eclipse, and JUnit.

  • Person must be detail oriented and have ability to communicate effectively with both business and technical staff and convey complex ideas both verbal and in written form.

  • Must have excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.

  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.

  • Development experience with C# and .NET a plus

  • Experience with GWT/GXT a plus

  • Experience with Vignette a plus

    Education

    4-year degree in computer science or related field or equivalent experience

    Individual with web 2.0 experience including GWT. Worked in a product that utilized JSR 168/JSR 286. Familiar with JUNIT and other quality assistance tools.
