Position Title: Software Developer / Information Assurance Analyst
Job Category: Computing/MIS
Location: Pentagon, VA
Our customer has an opening for a Software Developer / Information Assurance Analyst with 7+ years of experience; you will be responsible for working with a team to perform code assessments and penetration testing of applications, using a number of security best practices, protocols and methods.
Responsibilities:
- Work with the team to perform code assessments and penetration testing of applications, using a number of security best practices, protocols and methods
- Identifying security threats and vulnerabilities for a number of applications, networks, and systems.
- Performing security assessments.
- Validating and testing using White, Black, and Grey Box testing.
- Maintaining a current knowledge of security threats, solutions, security tools and network technologies.
- Communicating recommendations to the team to improve existing security measures in both written and oral form.
- Performing security assessment testing of applications.
- Actively analyzing systems for potential vulnerabilities.
- Performing software application evaluations.
- Recommending and implementing solutions in response to security vulnerabilities, intrusions, risks and violations.
- Provide insight into security best practices and procedures
Requirements
Qualifications Needed:
- Senior level (7+ years experience)
- TS Clearance is required or Active Secret with ability to obtain Interim TS Clearance.
- Experience in reviewing and accessing software applications for security vulnerabilities
- Possess intimate knowledge of complexity and challenges surrounding security testing and vulnerability assessments
- Lead by example, be self-motivated, have excellent interpersonal communication skills, and experience interfacing with clients.
- CISSP, GIAC, Ethical Hacker, CISM certifications highly desirable.
- Strong operational experience with common security testing methods, tools and standards.
- Bachelor of Science degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or Software Engineering.
- A proficiency in information security and compliance regulations.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Superior problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge and experience with security product installation and upgrades.
