Job Description
Classification: Temporary
Compensation: $11.00 to $12.00 per hour
Accounting Clerk needed for a logistics company in Oakland County. As the Accounting Clerk, duties include Receiving, auditing and approving Carrier invoices for designated Client, Following instructions and assigned work processes, Establishing working relationship with Client and Carriers, Identifying and disputing Carrier invoice discrepancies, Performing necessary follow-up with Carrier to ensure timely resolution of outstanding issues, Documenting any and all variances in Client requirements or internal processes, Acquiring and retaining vast knowledge related to AP/AR functions, Client requirements and global freight terminology/processes, Performing additional work assignments as needed.
3+ years experience working as an Accounting Clerk preferably in the logistics industry or global freight. Must be very organized, independent worker with strong time management skills. Must have strong customer service to built relationships with the carriers. This is a temporary to full-time position, but starts off with Part-Time hours.
