HMC has been designated as a Value-Based Care Center for Medicare beneficiaries. This means seniors with basic Medicare coverage could be eligible to receive incentive payments of up to $1,157, the maximum annual Part B premium, when they choose HMC for orthopedic and cardiology care.
The program is part of a special demonstration from the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), which strives to improve efficiency and quality while allowing patients to share in the cost savings.
