Position Description:
The Legal and Compliance Institutional Securities Trade Surveillance team requires an experienced Business Analyst with a minimum of 5 years IT experience. The ideal candidate should have hands on experience with analyzing/understanding financial services data, writing detailed business requirements, creating functional specifications and helping steer projects through the project life cycle.
The candidate must have strong data analysis and SQL skills, a solid understanding of relational data models, as well as a familiarity with project management concepts. The ability to work collaboratively, good oral and written communication skills as well as excellent interpersonal skills are required. Multi-tasking and the ability to shift priorities throughout the project lifecycle as well as managing client relationships are also necessary.
Financial Industry experience and knowledge is desirable – preferably in trading, financial products, compliance, brokerage, or operations.
Skills Required:
Excellent Written and Oral communicate skills
Develop detailed functional requirements and use cases
Develop corresponding business process flows
Develop high level data and business rule requirements
Perform data analysis and assist in data mapping
Review and assist in developing test plans and test cases
Facilitate User Acceptance Testing sessions
Build client relationship and manage expectations
An understanding of relational data models and how to traverse through a relational database
Skills Desired:
Financial industry knowledge in the area of financial products, trading, and compliance
A strong understanding of the SDLC
