Job Description
Primary responsibility for the profitable growth of retail insurance sales through recruiting and training of finance and insurance (F&I) sales reps at CNH dealerships. Responsible for meeting retail insurance sales goals and objectives, with shared responsibility for meeting overall insurance sales and profitability goals.
This position will assist CNH dealerships, CNH Capital Sales Managers (ASM/FSM/RSM)) and other sales management associates in promoting the sale of insurance and equipment protection products to retail and rental customers.
This person will not only be responsible for the above throughout the US, but also will assist the Senior Director in managing the insurance sales team, developing strategies and implementing tactics, for growing the CNH Capital insurance business.
Sales Objectives:
- Responsible for:
- Developing, implementing, and managing annual business plan including retail insurance sales goals, recruiting objectives, marketing initiatives, product introductions and key business metrics.
- Shared Responsibility for:
- Meeting agency sales and profitability goals.
- Managing SG&A budget, as assigned.
Field Support:
- Develop basic insurance sales skills training program for CNH Capital Sales Managers, dealer sales reps and internal associates.
- Travel to CNH dealerships, conduct regional training seminars, attend trade shows and other events to promote CNH Capital insurance and equipment protection products.
- Serve as primary point of contact with sales team and dealer network regarding retail insurance sales and marketing, new product introductions, trends, problem solving and competitive analysis.
- Provide ongoing field feedback and recommended solutions to address insurance sales and marketing challenges and opportunities.
- Create and promote a positive and productive working relationship with CNH commercial teams, sales managers, dealerships, insurance carriers, program administrators, vendors, and associates.
Projects:
- Assist Senior Director of Insurance in developing new products, programs and key initiatives to grow retail insurance business and increase agency profitability.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, insurance or related field
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in insurance or in a dealer/distribution network
- Minimum of 3 years of sales management experience
- Insurance licenses for Life/Health/Property/Casualty.
- Experience with developing F&I operations for heavy equipment or similar dealer networks, including recruiting, training and motivating dealers sales reps and F&I managers
- Proven track record of growing commercial insurance premium revenue (multiple millions)
- Proven track record of recruiting and retaining a high quality sales team that consistently met or exceeded sales goals and profitability objectives, on a regional or national scale
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously.
- Goal-oriented, self-starter, positive attitude with strong communication and presentation skills
- Pragmatic strategic thinker with broad expertise in all aspects of the insurance business
- Insurance industry “rolodex” of key contacts and relationships with carriers, program administrators, national marketers and other centers of influence
- 10% travel required throughout the US
