Senior Research Analyst for Store Development

This position is responsible for managing a portfolio of potential new AutoZone stores. The ideal candidate will have the ability to conduct spatial analysis and modeling, perform analog and competitive analysis, and present and defend findings to a variety of audiences. Additionally, will have the ability to mine data from a variety of sources, and convert into useful and actionable information. This position will require the ability to provide ad hoc analysis for cross functional teams and strategic initiatives, and conduct field analysis in the market.

Duties:
Manages portfolio of trade areas and sales projections
Reviews and presents sites for approval/maintain integrity of sales projection
Develops trade areas and market strategies
Mines data and convert into useful information
Travels to markets to conduct / lead field research
Updates and improves processes and applications
Job Requirements
2-3 yrs directly related experience in GIS mapping and analysis
Knowledgeable in statistics, programming, and working in a corporate retail environment
Analytical skills, communication skills (verbal and written)

Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Business, or Statistics
