Job Description

Essilor of America, Inc. (Essilor), is the leading manufacturer and wholesaler of prescription lenses in the United States.

We currently have an Outside Sales Representative Nassau-West FL career opportunity. Territory includes: FL-West, Charlotte, Citrus, Columbia, DeSoto, Dixie, Gadsden, Gilchrist, Hamilton, Hardee, Hernando, Hillsborough, Jefferson, Lafayette, Lake
Leon, Levy, Madison, Manatee, Marion, Orange, Pasco, Pinellas, Polk , Sarasota, Sumter, Suwannee, Taylor,  and Wakulla
Major Cities:  Tampa, Gainesville

POSITION PURPOSE:
Responsible for being the first level of contact with key accounts within their assigned territory within Nassau Vision Group.  Responsible for sales performance and customer relations.  Uses corporate tools and applications to document, plan, monitor, and meet sales objectives within their client organizations.   Develops and maintains strong working relationships with customer service and lab personnel to ensure successful customer relations.  Consistently achieves established sales goals.  Communicates on an ongoing basis with VP Sales regarding personal growth, sales results, and plans of action.  Uses knowledge gained through organizational meetings, ride-alongs and call-ins to grow their accounts and develop their professional skills.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  •  Performs necessary territory and account planning activities to achieve territory sales goals.  Builds specific business plans for targeted accounts.  Adheres to a flexible call schedule based on account volume, potential and needs.  Develops existing account base and gain new accounts via territory prospecting.
  •  Meets or exceeds sales targets for Rx,  stock and contact lenses
  •  Ability to manage a 2 to 4 million dollar sales territory
  •  Increases sales by effectively communicating the advantages and benefits of Nassau Vision Group’s products and services to the ECPs  
  •  Monitors competitor activities within the Territory, collects competitor price lists and sales materials.  Communicates with VP, Sales to implement competitive sales strategies.
  •  Demonstrates an obsession for customer service through customer involvement.  Resolves customer issues in a timely manner and uses the opportunity build a stronger relationship.  Provides appropriate follow-up.
  •  Monitors changes in the market and customer base.  Supports national marketing and collateral efforts 
  •  Uses Ride-alongs and the annual review process to identify professional needs and develop skills.
  •  Manages Territory sales budget with emphasis on net sales, Business Plan initiatives, travel and account education and marketing.  Efficiently manages travel costs
  •  Partners with lab personnel to achieve sales and lab performance targets.  Partners with Lab and Customer Service Managers to train Customer Service Personnel on annual Business Plan and unique customer needs. Plans, develops, and conducts on-site and group product training. 
  •  Projects a professional image for Nassau Vision Group. Establishes a positive working relationship with Nassau employees and colleagues
  •  Utilizes available tools and software to manage accounts with an emphasis on price file maintenance and customer call history.
  •  Effectively completes requested tasks from management and corporate office in a timely manner.
  •  Develops and prepares summary reports as necessary

    EDUCATION AND QUALIFICATIONS:

  •  BS or BA in Business, Organizational Development, Industrial Relations or related field
  •  Demonstrated sales results with 1 to 3 years sales experience (Optical Industry-Rx Sales preferred).
  •  Demonstrated computer skills (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook & general PC navigation).
  •  Demonstrated presentation skills as well as excellent written & verbal communication required
  •  Excellent interpersonal, problem-solving and analytical skills required
  •  Customer service / Client relations orientation strongly preferred.
     Must be able to travel with occasional over night stays required. 
     ABO speaker certification preferred
  •  ABO Certification preferred
