ICF International seeks an experienced Administrative Assistant to work within the Information Technology Solutions Division. This position is located in our Metro accessible Fairfax, VA office and reports to the senior management of the IT Solutions Division. The selected candidate will perform administrative tasks, work on multiple projects concurrently, and provide support in confidential matters.

This position requires a high degree of professionalism, independent judgment, strong organizational skills and the ability to be flexible as demands and priorities change. The Administrative Assistant will anticipate and fulfill the administrative and logistics needs of the senior management team of a growing division, including:

  • Scheduling and coordination of meetings, conferences and catered events
  • Arranging domestic and international travel
  • Tracking and submitting expenses and equipment requests
  • Managing calendars
  • Maintaining distribution lists
  • Coordinating new hire information
  • Researching information from internal and external sources
  • Responding to routine inquiries
  • Preparing documents, letters memorandums, reports, briefings and presentations
  • Tracking assignments to closure
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements
Qualifications/Education:

  • Secretarial or business school education, Associate degree at an accredited college or equivalent work experience
  • Five or more years of experience as an administrative assistant in a professional services consulting firm
  • Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
  • Demonstrated outstanding level of professionalism in providing administrative support, including ability to exercise good judgment, discretion, tact, and diplomacy
  • Sound business ethics, including the protection of proprietary and confidential information
  • Ability to apply detailed knowledge of organizational procedures to make independent decisions and serve as a credible resource for a senior management team
  • Ability to work with all levels of internal staff, as well as outside clients and vendors
  • Excellent problem solving skills with ability to analyze situations, identify existing or potential problems and recommend solutions
  • Strong oral and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills including courtesy, professionalism, and a cooperative attitude
  • Proficiency in MS Office Applications (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel)
  • Ability to be flexible to handle multiple priorities and to work limited overtime as necessary
