Description Harleysville Insurance is a premier regional property and casualty insurer offering a full portfolio of commercial lines, personal lines, life, and flood insurance products. We have an excellent opportunity for a Commercial Lines Product Management Analyst with a solid commercial lines underwriting and insurance product development background to join our team of “Good People to Know.” This position is located in our corporate headquarters in Harleysville Pennsylvania.

This position is responsible for providing product support for workers' compensation and general liability product lines and reports to the AVP of Product Development. As such, is responsible for supporting the team of mangers and specialists in the design and delivery of assigned product lines and underwriting strategies to achieve growth and profit per overall commercial lines plans.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
• Supports research of competitor products and services to support development of underwriting strategies and product improvement plans
• Maintain and continuously update our current product portfolio, including proprietary and ISO based products, to bureau filed levels and also to assure proprietary updates are made to our product features and benefits in rates, rule and forms in accordance with direction from the product staff
• Works with state filings and IT resources to assure product changes are properly filed and also registered and tested in our systems
• Provide relevant communications to staff and agents on product changes, features and benefits
• Maintains a current working knowledge of all product systems and acts as a resource for the end user on understanding systems and also a voice for improvement in functionality and ease of use
• Helps with underwriting standards, rules, eligibilities, guidelines and procedures by updating manuals, SAGE pages and rules
• Support the development and delivery of product line training modules
• Serves as a technical resource and underwriting representative for the field and for special or ongoing committees and task forces working on projects with direct or indirect underwriting involvement
Requirements Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible commercial lines underwriting, product development, and product support experience with expertise in the rates, rules and forms of at least one product line but also multiple line knowledge. Bachelor's degree or equivalent preferred. Certificate in General Insurance and AU designations highly recommended
