Functional Description:
ACS Government Healthcare Solutions seeks a Program Support Manager to assist the Montana Medicaid programs in the management and assessment of its health care payment methods. The Program Support Unit is responsible for the management of the procedure, diagnosis and other reference files necessary toefficiently process medical claims and the management of theclient'sprovider manual and web site construction and maintenance efforts. This position requires experience in the analysis of methods used to pay healthcare providers, especially physicians and hospitals. These methods are typically based on acronyms such as RBRVS, DRGs, APCs, APGs, etc.
Applicants must possess experience in claims data analysis, coding and billing, Medicaid Management Information Systems and/or healthcare operations. The work is very analytical and requires analysis of large claims datasets, research on alternative payment methods, and development of policy recommendations. This position is also responsible for conducting a financial analysis on the impact of proposed changes.
Directcontact with Medicaid program managers is a requirement of this position.
Education and Typical Years Experience
A Bachelor’s Degree and minimum of four years experience managing personnel and coverage of services, medical coding and terminology, health record administration and/or payment methods development and maintenance for a Medicaid Fiscal Agent or private sector health care payer.
Special Requirements
Minimum of two years MMIS experience.
