Responsible for selling Houghton Mifflin Harcourt Learning Technology solutions to customers in the Delaware, Maryland, and Washington, DC area(s) to meet a sales quota, increase sales volume and dollars per student.
Primary Responsibilities:
� Making sales calls to schools within assigned territory
� Developing relationships with supervisors and teachers
� Presenting our materials to groups and in one-on-one meetings
� Organizing sales campaigns
� Coordinating implementation and in-service for adopting districts
This position requires a Bachelor�s Degree (Master�s desirable), a minimum of three years teaching experience, and preferably a proven track record in sales and leadership experience. Excellent organizational skills, oral and written communications skills, and interpersonal skills are necessary, as well as the ability to assimilate information rapidly. Experience with technology is highly desirable. Must be self-motivated and able to work independently.
� Ability to work a varying schedule. May require extended hours; 8 plus hours per day, may require work on weekends as necessary
� Must be willing to travel frequently within assigned territory; includes some overnight travel as needed
