Princ Analyst, Info Security
Job Responsibilities:
Candidate will provide Information Assurance support. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
�Discover and investigate suspect behavior using IDS/IPS, Proxy, Firewall log analysis.
�Perform ongoing network security audits, reviews and vulnerability assessments.
�Deliver network security architecture solutions for business application security and infrastructure technology.
�Influence and enable all IT projects with network security solutions.
�Maintain current knowledge of technical and industry relevance, ability to evaluate changes, and how they might apply to the USCG environment.
�Troubleshoot performance and availability related problems.
�Ensure risk free implementation of all security, compliancy and technology solutions.
�Interface with and work within cross functional IT teams to continually improve the security posture.
�Provide status and management reporting.
�Perform value add to network security technology, application architecture designs.
�Demonstraite ability to perform product selection, proof of concepts, pilots, and implementation of production network security solutions which meet customer
Required Education:
Requires BS/BA degree.
Required Work Experience:
Requires 8-10 years experience in the field of Information Security.
Other Desirable Requirements:
�Knowledge & experience with networking security technologies including Firewalls (Cisco ASA and NetScreen), router ACLs, VLANs, and other security and network appliances/devices with an emphasis on data communications.
�Must have expert knowledge of WAN Technologies (Networking, VPN/IPSec, and other assorted IP protocols), including strong comprehension and working knowledge of the OSI model.
�Expertise in TCP/IP and the associated ports to the most common applications.
�Demonstrated high level knowledge and/or proficiencies with networking, protocols, security technologies, risk assessment, intrusion detection/prevention, and analysis
�Strong Linux skills
�Scripting skills a plus

�CISCO ASA Firewalls
�Nortel and CISCO VPN
�SNORT
�Linux
Preferred: CISSP, GIAC or other security certifications
