Description SUMMARY: Direct and manage daily sales and operations for the branch by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

  • Direct coordinate activities of sales force to generate sales at or above company standards. Manage staff and assigning specific duties.

  • Consult with the Marketing Department on all advertising/marketing opportunities that will positively influence branch sales. Recommends local advertising/marketing opportunities that do not involve mass media.

  • Determine staffing requirements, interview, hire, develop and manage new employees, or oversee those personnel processes. Reviews and authorizes all branch personnel changes as deemed appropriate. Manage all employee annual performance reviews and month end performance reviews in a timely manner.

  • Maintain ongoing contact with all relevant local public service agencies including, but not limited to, crime prevention and local and state crime prevention associations. Establishes rapport with the local community to promote a positive company image.

  • Prepare budget, manage revenues and expenses, drive new customer acquisitions, ensure great customer service and manage and prepare reports to document results.

  • Authorize all expenditures handled directly by the branch in adherence to annual budget.

  • Review branch Profit and Loss Statement, sales and activity reports, and other performance data to measure productivity and goal achievement and to determine areas needing improvement. Utilize basic understanding of company-wide operational and financial goals to making contributions toward their achievement.

  • Direct efforts of the technical manager to achieve operational and financial goals while enduring strict adherence to employee safety programs.

  • Establish and manage a successful working partnership with all Builder and Inspection companies.

  • Manage and encourage adherence to all company policies and ensure that all areas of branch and employee safety are obtained. Ensure adherence to all national procedures and makes contributions to those procedures as appropriate.

  • Ensure all branch employees are properly trained and licensed based on local and state requirements.

  • Available to perform field sales training with employees on evenings and weekends.

  • Responsible for actively resolving customer problems and to ensure disconnect rate is maintained at the lowest level possible.

  • Other duties may be assigned.

    SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
    Manage subordinate supervisors who supervise the technicians, sales personnel, and/or other office personnel. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the branch. Also, may directly supervise non-supervisory employees. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

    EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
    Bachelor's degree and four to ten years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

    KNOWLEDGE:
    Knowledge of business and management principles involved in strategic planning, resource allocation, leadership technique, and coordination of people and resources. Knowledge of principles and processes for providing excellent customer service. Knowledge of sales and marketing principles and methods including strategy and tactics and sales techniques.

    LANGUAGE SKILLS:
    Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to top management, public groups, and/or boards of directors.

    MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
    Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.

    REASONING ABILITY:
    Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
