Job Description
Summary: Works with Director of Laboratory Operations to make recommendations, interpret policy, ensure employees follow department and hospital policy, initiate corrective action. Assist with management of personnel, maintaining fiscal integrity of the department, and actively participates in assuring quality of departmental testing.
 

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities: Qualifies as a General Supervisor under CLIA-88 by any of the following: Bachelor's degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science and completion of an AMA approved laboratory training program and MT(ASCP) (or equivalent) certification, or an associate?s degree in a chemical, physical, biological or clinical laboratory/medical technology science and completion of an AMA approved laboratory training program and MLT (ASCP) (or equivalent) certification, or previously qualified or could of qualified as a general supervisor prior to 2/29/92 under 42 CFR 493.1427 (3/14/90).
