Founded in 1911 as one of three state normal schools for teacher
training, MTSU is now the
oldest and largest public university in Middle
Tennessee.
This person is responsible for the supervision of the ITD Classroom Technology group, and will lead the group in providing consultation, installation, configuration, and maintenance of technology in classrooms and labs.
A bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, mathematics, industrial studies, engineering, recording industry, or a related area is required, along with five years of extensive experience with installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and operation of audio/visual equipment and audio/visual control equipment such as TVs, VCRs, sound systems, LCD projectors, and A/V control devices. Experience should include installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of microcomputers and peripherals. Three years of experience in supervision and management of a technical staff is also required.
