Job Description



Position:  Accounting/Finance

Essential Job Functions:  Candidate will be responsible for accurately preparing, recording, and reporting transactions related to the activities of Nabors International division. This position will also be responsible for internal audit preparation and analysis, Sarbanes Oxley compliance, and financial reporting and analysis for Nabors International and corporate management. Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Preparation of balance sheet account reconciliations and related analysis.
  • SOX compliance, testing, & maintenance of the database.
  • Preparation and documentation of policies and procedures.
  • Publication and maintenance of finance documents on Sharepoint.
  • Analysis and documentation of all requests from the internal & external auditors.
  • Intercompany accounting, including the coding of all monthly invoices, preparation of journal entries, and reconciliation of imbalances.
  • Manage the monthly close certifications process to ensure receipt of forms with proper approvals, noting any exceptions, omissions, or litigations that should be addressed with management.
  • Preparation of journal entries.
  • Preparation of credit checks including determining credit worthiness, providing recommendations for deposits/advance payments, & maintenance of the credit rating system and support files for all customers.
  • Financial analysis and preparation of the monthly MD&A report.
  • Preparation of the 10Q & 10K schedules.
  • Participation in special projects on a regular basis.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Overtime will be necessary during monthly & quarterly closings, year-end reporting, audit, special projects, and other times as deemed necessary.


Job Requirements

Experience:
  • 5 years experience in general accounting & financial reporting.
  • SOX compliance/audit experience preferred.
  • Drilling/oilfield service industry experience preferred.

  • Motivated, energetic, self-starter with excellent multi-tasking skills.
  • Intelligent, sound judgment, common sense.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Desire to streamline processes, eliminate inefficiencies, and improve productivity.
Education:
  • University degree in accounting.
  • Intermediate to Expert Excel skills required, familiarity with Microsoft Word.
  • Oracle experience a plus.
