SUMMARY The successful candidate will be responsible for developing existing systems, equipment, tooling, and processes that will maintain high volume plastic Liquid Crystal Display production, and will also interact and collaborate with all other departments within the company and with external suppliers, and assist prototype/preproduction sheet processes, and volume display production, from design through completion supporting all manufacturing functions in display fabrication and process technology.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES +Supplies design for high volume display manufacturing with feed back to engineering. +Works with Technology Development and Process Development departments optimizing LCD preproduction/ high volume process and yield. +Generates/verifies cost models and pricing for plastic LCD's. +Perform process analysis, summarize data, and report results. +Write specifications and capital requests for new equipment. +Generates documents, including standard operating procedures, test reports, specifications and progress reports.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE +B. S. degree in Industrial/Manufacturing Engineering or related engineering/technology field required with 7-10 years of manufacturing experience required. +Previous experience in Liquid Crystal displays, clean room operation, LCD electromechanical assembly/manufacturing, new product introduction a plus. +Knowledge of LEAN manufacturing, and material control required along with a working knowledge of current CAD software.
