Description
Provide continuous leadership and assume accountability for the delivery of patient care at Exempla Lutheran Medical Center's Collier Hospice Center, a 24 bed, ICU Hospice Inpatient Unit. Responsible for overseeing operations including performance improvement, clinical outcomes, human resource and fiscal management, and providing supervision within a multi-disciplinary team. In addition to the responsibilities described above, the role may include such other responsibilities and duties as assigned from time to time, based upon Exempla needs or requirements. The clinical manager oversees 40 FTE's and manages a annual budget of $1.5 million. In addition to managing the clinical staff, the clinical manager co-leads the work of the environmental services, nutrition services and pharmacy staff working at Collier Hospice Center
Qualifications Minimum qualifications; Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, Bachelor's degree in nursing. Minimum five years recent critical care experience. Minimum of two years experience in management or supervision of of a critical care unit. Knowledge of nursing theory, practice management, leadership. . Current RN License in the State of Colorado. BCLS Certification.
Preferred qualifications: Master's degree in nursing, clinical management and certification as a Hospice and Palliative Care nurse. Experience in a management position within a Hospice Inpatient Unit and/or Home Hospice program. Experience in the application of quality management principles. Experience with informatics systems and principles.
