Description INTERIM FIRE CHIEF

Orting Valley Fire & Rescue is looking for qualified candidates
to fill an immediate position of Interim Fire Chief. The start date
for this position will be December 1, 2009. Orting Valley Fire &
Rescue provides Fire and Emergency Medical Services to the
City of Orting and surrounding Pierce County Fire Protection
District 18 area.

The successful candidate will have a minimum of an AA degree
in Fire Science or Administration or higher. At least fifteen (15)
years career fire service experience including multiple years in a
Chief Officers position. Desired experience working with career
and volunteer personnel, a department providing Emergency
Medical Transports and in merger and consolidation processes.
