Job Description 

Arrow Fastener Co., Inc. a division of Masco Corporation, a Fortune 300 diversified home products manufacturer, has an immediate opportunity for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer. Located in northeast New Jersey, the selected candidate will perform specific duties that ensure a smooth operating, highly integrated manufacturing environment. The Manufacturing Engineer will perform a wide variety of tasks, relying on experience and good judgment to accomplish all manufacturing goals. The candidate is expected to use a wide degree of creativity and advanced problem solving skills to support and promote continuous improvement efforts.
 
The following are essential functions of the position:
 
  • Manage multiple projects to improve manufacturing methods in all departments
  •  
  • Understand all processes in manufacturing and collaborate with team leaders to maximize performance efficiencies 
  •  
  • Recommend and facilitate quality initiatives that improve product performance and reduce the total cost of quality
  •  
  • Provide product and quality related technical support to sales and customer service
  •  
  • Interface with internal and external resources to assist in improving and troubleshooting equipment and machinery
  •  
  • Interact with production personnel to address issues and ensure consistent product flow
  •  
  • Design tooling and fixtures to support new products and determine fit to current manufacturing processes
  •  
  • Perform time studies, determine standard rates, and develop standard operating procedures
  •  
  • Maintain accurate product routings, bills of material, and ECOs for revision control

  •  
    Requirements include but are not limited to:
     
  • Bachelor’s Degree (BSME, BSIE) required.
  •  
  • Five or more years experience with significant manufacturing exposure
  •  
  • Knowledge of current industry manufacturing concepts, practices and procedures
  •  
  • Ability to apply various problem-solving techniques to achieve positive results
  •  
  • Strong PC skills, including Office and CAD
  •  
  • Appropriate oral and written communication skills
  •  
     Preferred requirements include: 
      
  • Experience working in a Lean Manufacturing environment
  •  
  • Die stamping, heat treating, plating, and/or assembly experience
  •  
  • Familiar with quality systems and methods
  •
