We are currently seeking a GIS Analyst:
Managing Air Force geographic information system (GIS) and providing IT assistance; development and implementation including guidance on enterprise geospatial software technologies, development of GIS policy, geospatial database development, GIS training, and general IT support. Includes some project/task management. The job is located onsite at Shaw Air Force Base in Sumter, South Carolina.
Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information, including U.S. Citizenship. An Interim Security Clearance will be required.
Qualifications Required Skills:
BS/BA in Geography or related field with an emphasis in GIS and or Remote Sensing or demonstrated equivalent experience
6-8 yrs professional experience
3 yrs experience in GIS integration using ESRI software to include ArcGIS Desktop Software
- 1 yr experience in managing GIS projects
- 1 yr of demonstrated experience in developing and implementing ESRI Geodatabases
- Experience/Understanding with Oracle 8.x or higher, ArcIMS 3.x or higher, ArcGIS Server
- Demonstrated proficiency with ArcSDE 8.x or higher
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
