Join a dynamic biopharmaceutical company as a Senior Product Manager/Associate Director focusing on the hepatitis C market. This position offers the opportunity to join a team at a critical time in the evolution of the launch planning phase for a novel product candidate, albinterferon, which has completed Phase 3 clinical development. You will be a key contributor to the team in leading/coordinating strategic aspects of the commercial activities, including advertising/promotion, field force requirements and liaison with the pharmaceutical partner.MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Lead various aspects of pre-launch planning including MD, RN/NP/PA for the personal promotion aspects of the brand. Lead key tactical areas related to planning phase, including training materials, promotional speaker training, and coordination of the medical & regulatory processes. Develop product strategies in all components of the marketing mix including packaging, product positioning, reimbursement, field force requirements. Represent commercial perspective on product development teams. Develop competency in the application of secondary data sources to HGS business. Utilize secondary sources to analyze competitive environment including products and companies by preparing, updating, and maintaining deliverable documents on relevant products, markets, and competitors.
Bachelor’s degree, with emphasis in the health sciences, Business, or marketing background; MBA preferred. Minimum of 5 years of pharmaceutical or biotechnology marketing experience including product launch. Sales and/or sales management experience desirable. Specialty market experience required. Understanding/previous experience in working in hepatitis market preferred. Familiarity with discovery and development process for pharmaceutical and biotechnology products and the roles of the various functional areas. Ability to operate effectively while managing multiple priorities and ambitious deadlines in a highly dynamic, team focused environment within HGS as well as with the pharmaceutical partner on the brand. Excellent communication and presentation skills, strong business acumen, analytical orientation, and ability to influence others.
