 Diageo is the name behind many of the world’s best loved premium drinks brands, including Smirnoff, Johnnie Walker, Guinness, Baileys J&B, Captain Morgan, Cuervo, and Tanqueray. Purpose:Responsible for leading the execution and delivery of plant reliability projects as well as compliance with project guidelines in support of the North American reliability leadership team. This role will respond to strategic planning and cost analysis requests and lead problem-solving teams to address issues within operations.  This is a key role to support delivery of plant operational reliability KPI’s. Decision Making:1. Reliability manager is accountable for in-house budget development and deliverables on time and within budget. Make decisions within the Reliability Project and deliver the expectations for the benefit of Diageo, within policies and guidelines.
2. The Reliability Manager deals with external and internal customers. The communications he / she conveys support the Diageo culture, principles and values. It is critical that the Reliability Manager effectively manages this process. Complexity of Role:Position requires a strong knowledge of plant operations in a variety of subjects, disciplines and duties. Including planning, maintenance, scheduling, processing, packaging, procurement and project management.
A strong leadership skill set is critical in leading change while developing a highly energized team that embraces Freedom to Succeed and Be The Best core values. Capable of innovative thinking, and driven to maintain momentum while maintaining a healthy industrial climate will be key to success. 
Needs to be diverse enough to understand and track the needs of the business at the most economic cost and highest quality. Able to work in a cross-functional role to achieve Business objectives with the Technical, Plant, Finance and Procurement functions. Key Outputs/Deliverables:
  • Establish and effectively manage project budgets and objectives.
  • Support Production Team Leads and maintenance coordinators as necessary, providing technical guidance and direction.
  • Provide technical expertise for general machine and line control as well as associated networking (Ethernet, Control Net, DeviceNet and ProfiBus).
  • To provide on-site technical competencies in programming and troubleshooting electrical systems and subsystems including Allen Bradley PLC (5/500/5000), variable frequency drives, servo controls and operator interfacing.
  • Will become the subject matter expert on select machinery and pass that expertise to the maintenance coordinators and technicians.
  • Develop and lead improvement strategies for each identified category (Upgrade site PLCs and servers, improvements to line controls to assist better bottle flows). Work closely with operators and mechanics to drive a strategy around: sustainable machine reliability, consistent/standardized machine operation and changeover, critical spares requirements, overhaul plans and ultimate machine replacement plans.
  • Arrange OEM technical support and re-direct Coordinators as necessary. Escalating technical issues to the maintenance manager in support of the Production Team Lead.
  • Identify training requirements and work closely with the Training Manager to close gaps.
  • Support maintenance coordinator on any reliability issue affecting the production lines whilst on shift in the event that additional technical help is required.
  • Work closely with the Maintenance Manager in driving world-class performance through the AMIS (Asset Care) process.
  • Perform other duties as required.
  •  Experience:
    • BS or 7+ years PLC programming in above mentioned applications. 3+ years project management a plus

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

    • Ability to manage multiple work streams while delivering to target dates.

    • SAP system knowledge & experience

    • Strong leadership and management background
